King's Island
The Racer. Old wooden roller coaster. no curves, just up and down. Rough. Okay, Didn't ride the backwards version.
The Vortex. Newer steel coaster. Not huge, but had some good hills, curves, loops and a corkscrew. I liked it a lot, Cindy learned she didn't like going upside down.
The Beast. the World's Longest Wooden Roller Coaster for over 20 years. It was the highest for a few years. Over a mile long, out in the woods. The smell of the woods is a nice change from the usual greasy roller coaster smell. Smaller than I had remembered, rough, like any wooden coaster, but with a couple of bad jars. Great ride anyway.
Top Gun. Suspended cars. Good ride but not great. A little short.
Son of Beast. Huge wooden coaster. It is billed as the only looping wooden roller coaster, but the loop is steel. Very rough ride. Painful. I cannot recommend it. If it weren't for that fact it would be awesome. Great hills and curves.
Face off. My favorite. A suspended ride, with legs dangling. A turn through an inversion, then a loop, then backwards through the same course. Short, but great. I spent the extra time to wait for a ride in the front car.
Drop Zone. You sit in a chair and they lift you to 315 feet in the air, then they drop you. Excellent.
Flight of Fear. Indoor steel looping coaster in the dark. Good ride, but rough. For the first few curves, you can't tell whether you're upside down, or what. Kind of like space mountain, but not as good.
That's all I went on. I did Face Off and Drop Zone twice, so I paid three dollars a ride. Well worth it.
My neck and back were sore afterwards. The back was fine by evening, but my neck was stiff for a couple of days.
While we were waiting in line to buy our tickets at the gate, a kid approached us. He had a discount coupon, but it was for four people, and he had only himself and his girlfriend so he needed two more people. So Cindy and I helped him out. We saved $26. Thanks kid.
