My friend's daughter is in the seventh grade. She's annoyed because a new kid transferred into her school, and she's no longer the tallest kid in her class. The boy is six-foot-seven.

I'm not sure. Nearly six feet?

Her dad's taller than me, and she's on track to beat him, as many kids do.

I had a discussion with some of my Chinese friends one time about the hormones and other things they put in food now. They said the typical Chinese person is much taller now than the previous norm. I'm referring to those in Canada.

I reached my adult height in seventh grade too. For the time, I was really tall - at 5'10. At the time in the south, girls did not play basketball, but I caught the eye of every track coach in new schools when I moved because of my height. I was really annoyed to be the tallest. I am glad she was pleased to be taller than everyone else.
