Thursday was downright miserable. I watched TV for about 6 hours, and the rest of the time was either sitting and staring or lying in bed wishing I could fall asleep. Friday was only slightly better. I spent much of today at the computer, so things have definitely improved.

Head hurts, throat hurts, ears hurt, sinuses clogged. I've improved on all counts except the sinuses have gotten worse. Also, abdominal muscles are sore from coughing, though I wouldn't have guessed I was coughing that much.

My sleep pattern is out of whack now. The last three days, I've gotten up at noon. So I'm not sure when I'll be ready to go to bed this morning. I'm guessing long after the sun comes up. I'll have to set my alarm to wake myself up. Not what I really want to do, considering how badly I need sleep to get over this, but I'll come up short at some point.

I think I've been completely well about three weeks in total so far this year.

Your sinuses may need some antibiotics to heal. Sleep, rest and all that. It's the body's way of healing.

One night, I got almost 12 hours of sleep. I felt marginally improved after that. This morning I was in bed for six hours, slept less than five. I woke up on my own, though.

Have you seen a doctor to be sure you aren't in pneumonia territory? I was super-super sick for two weeks and thought it would never end, but since you keep going back and forth, I wonder...
Thinking of you!

My illnesses usually last a week, so we'll see how I feel come wednesday.

I poked around a little online, and found...

Have there been noticeable breaks between colds? If you've never completely regained your energy and there's a strong stuffy sinus component, I'd consider going to a doctor.

There have been breaks between illnesses, and the illnesses have often been different from each other. So that's something.

That makes some sense. Allergies act the same-- there can be breaks between, then another onset. My problem years ago was thinking I kept getting colds, so I wasn't treating allergies and soon had several bouts of chronic bronchitis, once approaching walking pneumonia.

Are you popping probiotics? Culturelle is a good one. One daily. And eat your greens! *snort* Aaand... green tea. And other stuff as well. ...What? *mwa*

I eat whatever vegetables Cyn puts in front of me. :-|

Probiotics? Yogurt doesn't count, so no.

Sure, yogurt counts if it has live active cultures in it. I don't do much dairy, so I take a supplement when needed. I run okay unless I'm ailing.

You have been sick a lot lately. It is worrisome.

What Raven said. At the very least your immune system is not doing its thing. I hope you see a doctor about this and other issues you've mentioned, Kevin.

I sure as hell hope you're immune to whatever the sick hordes bring your way after you his is over. Anyway, I hope you get better quicker than usual.

Ms. Mausi seems to be sick a lot lately, too. Maybe it's a good thing to live in the country.

Poor Kevin! I hope after this bout your immunities will be strengthened and you can better fight off potential bugs. If you get sick again within a few months, definitely go in for a barrage of tests. Meanwhile, Dr. Seren says drink lots of water and get lots of rest. And keep eating whatever veges Cyn puts in front of you.
