I've been watching a lot of Star Trek lately. Both The Original Series and the Next Generation.
TOS came out when I was a baby. Next Gen came out when I was an adult - when I was 20. That's eighteen years between. That was an entire lifetime for me. And when you look at the two, there's a huge difference in the way they look. TOS was of a different era, and Next Gen seems modern. But it went off the air 22 years ago!
Also, I noted today that one of Patti Smith's more recent albums came out twelve years ago. I couldn't believe it.
It's got to be some sort of temporal anomaly.

I said, "42?! Am I 42? ...I am 42." The mind is weird, man. *snort*
