Yesterday... what'd we do yesterday? I edged the lawn and generally worked outside all afternoon. Helped with supper. Watched some classic Star Trek in the evening. That's about it.

Today I mowed. Had a visit from a friend I hadn't seen in a couple of years. Went for a walk at a park in town. That's about it.

It sounds pretty laid back and that's what you needed!

Yeah. It's helping me maintain my sanity, I guess. But it's just maintaining.

Classic Star Trek is the way to go.

It's funny. I'm a huge Star Trek fan. Seen all TNG, most if not all DS9, and quite a lot of Voyager. But I'd seen only a handful of Classic. We're about halfway through the first season. Most are decent, a couple have been awful, and a couple very good.

I grew up watching TOS in syndication. Sometimes it was on five nights a week here. TNG came along when I was 17 and it seemed I was the only one watching it for the first three years or so. I never went beyond that.

There are some masterpieces in the second half of season one: The Galileo Seven, The Devil in the Dark and City on the Edge of Forever. Second season is pretty consistent with season one. Season three is the weakest as that is when the network started pulling the strings.
