As mentioned, they finished grouting the shower a week ago today, and they templated the glass shower doors.

I had an issue with some of the grouting. It was uneven in color, and it was uneven in depth in the corners. They left a deep opening in some places, that seemed like they'd be a dirt drap. I got the project manager over to take a look, and she got someone to come out and fix it. They caulked the corners (which is what I expected it to be like in the first place).

The original printed schedule she gave us said it would be two weeks to get the granite countertop. Later on, she told me it would be three. I was a little unhappy about this. Then, the other night, she said "three to four". I was really unhappy about this. They came out and measured for it on the 11th. On the 16th, she sent us a drawing with the measurements to sign off on. We were in New York at the time, and we don't often check that e-mail account, so two days later she texted me to ask me to take care of it. And then it took another day to get it back to her. She says they can't place the order until my signature is submitted. So we lost a week there? I hope that's the source of the fourth week being added.

I also just noticed that the shower head and valve are off center. That's going to bother me.

And then the glass will also take three weeks.

Next week they're going to install the woodwork - doors and floor and window trim. Final plumbing and electric go in after the granite.

It really is always something with home renovations. And it IS frustrating! We are about to start on a much smaller reno (slight enlargement)on the small downstairs bathroom and are working against the clock. We leave for the US on June 21 but they assured us that it would take 10 days tops. After that, we found out that the door we ordered might take up to 4 weeks so we'll be gone if it takes that long. Of course the painting won't get done before we leave as we're doing that part ourselves.

It went from a week and a half to four weeks? Boo! At least we *knew* ours would take forever.

Just getting the door will take longer and we'll have to have somebody else pick it up for us because we won't be here. The rest of the reno will be done in a week so all we'll need is the door installed later. Not a real problem.
