Okay, I checked out who has the same interests as me. Don't ask why, I was just curious what would happen.

acidmoon matched 1/3 of my interests, but she listed 425 of her own.

There were three people that matched 30% of mine:
Diggiemoon, but he lists something like 1600 things, so he hardly counts. Like, duh, we'd match. I could only SEE his list to halfway through the B's.
wordsmyth9 (350 interests listed)
Blackcat2 There was a decent match, interestwise

Seven people matched 1/4
northern star, oldjournals (crazyslut), reality, and rebequa had really long lists.
Insomnia, pindown girl and tinjuko were cool, though.

in the 21% category, there were about 23 people.
I think there were thirteen with a reasonably short list. One of those was my friend Cyn (yeah Cyn!). Deadgirl had a fairly short list, much of which, I like. ecstasia had very little on her list that I am into. tiddlywinks had the shortest interest list.

I was beginning to think that LiveJournal was incredibly huge. I don't hink it is, anymore. In those thirty people, there couldn't have been more than four people who didn't have a name that I recognized on their friends list. A couple of them only seemed to know four people. Then there were a few people who had names on their friends list that I only saw tonight. Wordsmith9 gets the prize for showing up on the most friends lists. The serendipity award goes to jenna77, who showed up on three or four of the lists I saw tonight. She is a friend of a friend who I came across Randomly.

Of course most of these people matched up with me on the generic stuff. Only a couple showed nore than one of my more specific interests. I'm sure some fo you are thinking "he's only got a dozen things listed!" He, it's just fun seeinghow this thing works. And remember, 88% of all statistics are misleading. The other 22% are wrong.

It's been fun surfing.

hey!

How do you get your icon to change like that? I don't think I've seen one that wasn't on a continuous cycle. Or is it just a really long cycle?

Paint Shop Pro 5 Animation Shop.

The default for an animated *.gif (when you use paint shop pro) is actually one cycle. You have to set it do a continuous cycle if that's what yo want to do. My first attempt at an animated *gif was continuous but it was a bit on the obnoxious side. I set it on one cycle so it wouldn't cause as many headaches.

Most of those animated images drive me crazy. I have a problem with moving things on my screen. I especially hate those paranoid eyeballs on the "reply" screen!

I like yours, though. It's mysterious. I didn't even catch it the first time around.

A friend of Serendipity's made on of her picture, where the cat blinks. I liked that one.

thanks!

sometime I'll stick something in there a little less silly than chicken wings

...are these the paranoid eyeballs you're talking about?
