When I placed my order for the new monitor, I guessed it would arrive Friday or Saturday. I was all excited to find out it was to be delivered today. When I got home, there was a note on the door saying that they couldn't leave the package without a signature. Damn, I'd have to wait another day. But at least we'd be home on Saturday. Then I realized it said I'd have to wait until Monday! UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays, except Next-day and 2-day delivery. >:-(

I wish I'd known it would require a signature, I would have given them direction to leave it.

EDIT: UPS says that it is up to driver discretion whether or not to leave it. We live in a rural area, but on a main road, so there's a lot of traffic and the front door is visible to it.

Can you contact UPS and waive the signature requirement with them? They do allow that if you sign a form...of course that means going to the place and then you could probably just pick it up.

They left a tag on my door telling me what happened. I signed it and put it back on the door for Monday.

I'm registered with MyUPS, so I can also do that online. I could have waived it beforehand and gotten the thing already, but I didn't know it would require a signature. And now I may have waived all future signatures.
