the weekend

Friday night, an LJ acquaintance stopped by to pick up some excess flowers. I spent the rest of the night indoors, which I don't usually do (lately) when the weather's nice.

Saturday late morning and early afternoon, I worked in the yard. Then we went to the blues fest.

Sunday late morning and early afternoon, I worked in the yard. Then I went to gaming. The weather has been great. A little warm in the sun, a little cool in the shade. Pleasant. When I was in the sun, I was really baking in my black t-shirt and denim shorts. I didn't care, because summer is almost over. I'll take every last bit of heat I can get, and not complain.

I've been spending most of my free time working outdoors. I've been trying to get the gardens back in shape. They've gotten a little bit out of hand. I've been working at it for several weeks, and still have a long way to go. It looks like summer will end in a few days. As of Thursday, the forecast temps won't exceed 60°.

You guys had such a rough winter last time, I don't blame you for enjoying the good weather while you can. Let's hope Mother Nature is kinder this year.

I'd be surprised if it was as bad as last year, but I expect this winter is going to be pretty cold.
