I found this photo in Marge's collection. I like it a lot. Great composition. It's from the farm she grew up on, but I'm not sure if anyone can tell who it is, or even who took it.

Reminds me of some of Vivian Maier's self portraits.

Yeah, when she showed her body, she had that same "flared" clothing. coat? Dress? who knows, but tight waist and flared out below.

Yeah, dress, skirt or coat. I'm guessing this one was longer than Maier's. This was taken in River Brethren country.

Ahh, perhaps a dress with an apron tied at the waist.

Photo Mystery

The resemblance is spooky. You can tell Vivian had one of the cameras with the top-view screen. Perhaps a Brownie camera like my mother had? I notice the frame is very square.

The elbows in the farm pic and the lack of squareness of the frame tell me it probably wasn't the Brownie type.

Great puzzle to solve who is the girl on the bike and who took her picture.

Maier shot Rolleiflexes or the like.

Yes, the elbows seem too high for one with the top viewfinder. Some Brownies had a very small viewfinder on top, where some might hold it close to their face. The print is very small, so maybe that gives us a clue to what kind of camera it was. I think most Brownies used fairly large film.

Oh...that's wonderful, the shadow in particular but the whole thing is pretty cool!

It reminds me of the Wizard of Oz without Toto! Love the picture!
