Post from Friend: image reading, "Why we defend President Obama He is subjected to a level of disrespect, treachery, betrayal and sabotage from within that no other president has ever experienced. Still, he succeeds and his success makes American lives better."

Person: oh hell no

Other Person: [Person]....just curious....why the 'oh hell no'???

Person: his policies, his executive orders , defying the constitution, leaving soldiers behind, releasing and negotiating with terrorists, covering up the IRS, creating the child border crisis, I do not have enough time to explain it all here and I suspect nothing I say would matter anyway. this man disgusts me with what he has done to this country. And let me be clear, congress sucks too! Our government is out of hand.

Friend: First off he has had less executive orders than Bush had in his presidency, we can blame the issue of emigration on our lack luster congress who can't get their head out of their behind to actual create a solution, this idea of leaving soldiers is ludicrous, the so called terrorists who he released are not a threat to the US, clearly not as much a threat to our economy or way of life than the GOP members of Congress who haven't a clue what the word compromise means, as to the IRS there is no proof nor that he was behind any wrong doing in the IRS and lets remember it was the GOP house of Reps who decided that they weren't going to give the President and the IRS the funds to go after the very people who have been dodging paying their IRS bills, you know the ones who are funding all of the GOP races. President Obama hasn't been perfect and no one who is at all realistic knows that NO president is perfect, why is it those who don't deal in facts want to push their agenda as if it is the truth. As to the Constitution, my GOD the man is a constitutional scholar which is more than I can say for those who can't even get the actual wordage right when they claim he is violating it. Sorry but this man has endured enough and the country has suffered for the mentality of "lets do nothing but get that uppity Black man out of the WHITE HOUSE.

"friend" is a very rational person. I find this interesting, I missed a couple of "Scotland" entries, so I went to your page to read them in order, but could not comment on any of them (or this entry) until I came back to my flist page.

I guess the lj buggies are not worked out yet.

What there is to say about Obama, he surely was the better solution than Mc Cain. But that's about it.

Being a liberal, I feel that in general he was the much better choice. But beyond that, he's a politician like all the rest. Which is why that post resonated with me.

He's just like all the rest. On the whole, no better, no worse than most. So why the contempt? Why the disgust? Everything that's happening now happens every year. From the IRS or VA scandals, to things like Benghazi - business as usual.

Just for the record, I think the claims of racism are overrated. I do think that racism was the catalyst, that started it, though. The racists wanted to go to war against him, and were looking for an excuse. Obamacare was that excuse. Just like 9/11 was the excuse to go to war against Iraq.

You can say, the far right wanted to play Maidan all over the place, but the voter said to them "No." That's why they're going for him.

Things have gone very aggressive in US politics; Republicans cannot accept that America wants something different than what they had planned. They're... say, like a child that doesn't get along when Mum says "No!".
They don't get that the plans they have made are suitable for an island with only their own, but not for a whole continent.
And they still don't want to accept it.

I still prefer Obama to others but it does seem to be that he is a difficult situation.

I do not post about politics on FB at all. Too many know-nothing relatives and former high school classmates. I just post about non-controversial stuff there.
