Friday night, a photographer that I sorta know was having a release... um, event for her "zine," as she called it. She is a historian and documentarian (among many other things, according to her bio), and she was hired by the state of Wyoming last year to complete a survey of buildings and landscapes along the Lincoln Highway, for it's 100th anniversary. She made a 52-page booklet of her Polaroid photos. I had ordered one, and went down to meet her and pick it up.

Then Cyn and I went to a bar and had a drink. We're so wild!

Today, we visited her mom to take care of some business. I added some shelves to her closet. What a crappy job I did!

Then we went into Cedarburg to take some photos. Didn't come away with a whole lot.

zine release

The production of the booklet of places along the Lincoln Highway makes me envious (in my continual "I'm working on a history of Taliesin" project).

I hope you had a nice night out. That's exciting (my nights, 'cept for those when I talk to immemor, consist of reading).

Hope you had a nice time taking photos.

Fortunately, as a photographer, she just had to round up a bunch of pictures, in order to make a book. Okay, she also did all the design work, but it's much easier to get that kind of project off the ground, than it is one that involves writing.

Yeah, it was a nice night.

Thanks for taking on the shelf project Kevin :) Its going to make the caregivers life a lot easier. I've never put up a shelf ever in life so I'm sure its going to be a better job than anything I could have done :)

First, I didn't have my level. I eyeballed the strips, and they looked pretty good, but when I put the shelf in, it was crooked strike 1). I had to put a nail through the top to keep it from wobbling (2). But the nail head stuck out (4). I tried hammering it down, but it wouldn't go. I looked for some tape to cover it, so things wouldn't snag on it, and found some blank label stickers, so I put a couple of those on it (5). You measured it and told me it was 21" wide. I measured it myself, and I think I said I agreed with you. But I couldn't remember for sure, but Cyn said it was 21". I cut them to 20-31/32". Only one of them was short enough to fit easily, and I forced another in place (strike 6! You're outta here!).

Before we left, Cyn asked me if it was going to be like Homer's spice rack. *sigh*

Shrug. Coulda been worse. It's just a cheap shelf made of scrap wood. At least nobody got hurt. :-D

LOL!!! Any project where no one gets hurt is a success. :)
