ice again

Last weekend, we went to Lion's Den to see the ice. Once we got there, I realized it would be a good place for our Flickr group's monthly photowalk. So this weekend, we took the group. It turned out well. There were ten of us, and the weather was good. It was around 20 degrees, and more or less sunny. The wind was kinda bad on the beach, though - it made it really cold. The wind and waves had broken up the ice, so there was open water.

in a two D photo you cannot really tell/adjust/interpret grade, but that first one LOOKS steep!

Yeah, it's steep. And it's made of ice. But it's small. If you're careful, you can lean over and look in.

Oh man! I did not realize the first time I saw that top photo that the little kid was looking down into a hole! I thought he was face first in the snow!

I like how the first one looks like it's throwing out steam, and I like the color in the second one (but it's mid-Feb. so of course green on trees is going to be alluring).
