Saturday, I hung around the house all day. Didn't do much. Cyn got the tree up and decorated. In the evening, we went to a birthday party. Cyn knew this guy in high school, and reconnected with him on Facebook recently. He was having a party at a bar in Milwaukee, so we went so she could meet him after all those years. So we hung out with the bar crowd for a couple of hours. I actually met a guy who works with a friend of mine on the line at Harley.
Sunday it snowed. It started in the morning and tapered off in the afternoon. Driving was crazy, so we canceled gaming. There were many accidents in the area, including multiple multiple-car pile-ups and three fatalities. We didn't actually get a huge amount of snow - around four inches? - but that's enough, and besides, it was the first major snow of the year, so it's been ten months since anyone's driven on snow. So I didn't go out, except to shovel. And we watched Dr Who.
My sister and I are working on getting a DVR for our mom. I'm worried she's not going to be able to figure out how to use it. She just wants it for recording Dancing With the Stars or whatever, when she's out, so she's not going to want to pay for a subscription. That doesn't give us many options.
I'd been planning on picking up my new computer glasses tonight, but I have a St.Andrew's thing. Not sure I want to stop in there for the glasses fitting, in my kilt.
