Thanksgiving dinner

Heather came yesterday morning to begin cooking. Our guests, besides her, were her husband Greg, Cindy's son Mike and his fiancee Jill, Jill's mother Ruth, and Jill's niece Morgan.

Golden pull-apart butter buns
Cranberry sauce
Shredded Brussels sprouts salad
Garlicky green beans
Creamy mashed potatoes
Vegetarian gravy
Italian sausage stuffing
Brown butter sweet potatoes
Cranberry apple crumble pie
Pumpkin pie torte

Sounds really good. I had a nice time at the house of MD's parents, with immemor. Then we saw the movie, Despicable Me - nice holiday fare.

I think that's the first time I've had brussels sprouts in any form.

What did you think? I know a lot of people don't like them, but they are one of my favorite veggies. Raw in salad like that, roasted in the oven and coated in balsamic vinegar and oil and roasted on a grill are my favorite ways to cook them.
