I was taking my friend home from gaming, and went by the custard stand. The flavor of the day was butter pecan, so I decided to stop for a cone. Driving around with the windows down and the music up, with a frozen custard sounded great. The girl took forever to put it together. She finally turned around with a huge cone. I guess since it was just before closing time, she gave me extra. As she handed it to me, she said, "sorry it's so messy." It was already dripping. I can normally eat a cone without making a mess (beard) if I'm careful, and I can even do it while driving, but not this time. Custard was running onto my hand. Pieces were falling off of it, pecans on the ground. I had it almost down to the cone before I could get in the car with it. I had to pull over when I got to the end of it. The cone was getting soggy. I had to shove the whole thing in my mouth, at one point, to prevent it from gushing out when I bit into it. Ice cream was running down my wrist. Fortunately, using the extra napkins I picked up, was able to make it home, only spilling one drop on myself (and none on the car).

What an ordeal!

Actually, I know the feeling! And it should be fun...

Yep. Eating ice cream should never be an ordeal :) I'm pretty impressed you only got one drop on you though! I eat my breakfast in my car every day and have a hard time not being messy with my yogurt LOL!

That tally of one drip doesn't include my hand that was covered in custard! Or my beard. Or the stuff that went on the ground before I got in the car. :-)

You must have a good ice cream eating technique not to get that all over yourself.
:P

Well, I can usually keep it out of my beard. Not this time!

I'm not sure how I got in the house without leaving sticky handprints on the doorknob.

I had to eat it too fast to enjoy it properly!

Stan eats everything that messily when he's driving.
I've found a pickle stuck down in the steering column and a piece of lettuce smashed onto the throttle.
Then there's the unshelled peanuts.......

I'll just pretend that's because he has to concentrate on driving.

That's the excuse Stan gives me.
