I was taking my friend home from gaming, and went by the custard stand. The flavor of the day was butter pecan, so I decided to stop for a cone. Driving around with the windows down and the music up, with a frozen custard sounded great. The girl took forever to put it together. She finally turned around with a huge cone. I guess since it was just before closing time, she gave me extra. As she handed it to me, she said, "sorry it's so messy." It was already dripping. I can normally eat a cone without making a mess (beard) if I'm careful, and I can even do it while driving, but not this time. Custard was running onto my hand. Pieces were falling off of it, pecans on the ground. I had it almost down to the cone before I could get in the car with it. I had to pull over when I got to the end of it. The cone was getting soggy. I had to shove the whole thing in my mouth, at one point, to prevent it from gushing out when I bit into it. Ice cream was running down my wrist. Fortunately, using the extra napkins I picked up, was able to make it home, only spilling one drop on myself (and none on the car).
What an ordeal!

Then there's the unshelled peanuts.......
