We were supposed to get rain yesterday, but it never materialized. This morning was sunny, so I meant to turn the sprinkler on, for the new grass seed I put down, but I didn't have time. I came home at lunchtime. It was sunny again, so I meant to turn it on again, but forgot. Later in the afternoon, the radar showed tiny spots of rain all across the state, but none of them looked like they'd come here. It was sunny when I got home, so I turned the sprinkler on. Ten minutes later, I had to go out in the rain to turn it off.

We had the same weather pattern here, too. Very scattered "spots" that developed into lines and blobs of storm cells. Very weird. We went out to dinner in the rain and thunder today.

And don't you know that setting out a sprinkler is like doing a rain dance?

:\ I tried watering this afternoon to trigger the showers and it did not work! I did get ten minutes of black clouds... but no moisture!
