Scottish Highland Games

I went to the games today. The forecast called for a chance of storms, but the weather was great. A bit windy at times, but that's better than rain. Overcast most of the day, but that kept it cool. I didn't drink enough water. Holy cow, am I dehydrated. I volunteered, so I got in free, but I only had to work the gate for an hour, putting wristbands on people. Not too tough. Other than that, I tried to see everything, but didn't, and take pictures of it all.

The Highland dancing was in a fairly dim room. You wouldn't believe the work I had to do to this photo.




I was standing there, eyeing up the beer tent for a photo. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a little girl walk up. I turned, she smiled and I took her picture. I'm finally able to pick up cute girls.

The women's caber was 55 pounds. Roughly half of her weight, I'd guess. And she turned it!
