It had been raining all morning, and then it changed to snow around 11:00. It didn't start to stick until 1:00, though. There's a lot on the ground a few miles to the west of here, though. First snow since... early January?

Almost a year between snows!

Actually, I was wrong. It was such a warm winter, that I was thinking there was no snow for most of it, but we did get occasional snowfalls, including one that may have been March 2nd. I've got pics of green grass and blooming crocuses from the week after that.

I had been reading in the paper about how it was a record or near-record stretch with no snow, but it was March 2 until now. I'm not sure if there was any snow on the ground in Milwaukee, where they keep our local records, though. :-)

It's sticking to the grass areas over here, but it stopped snowing about 3:00pm.

We haven't had snow since March in Chicago, but it rained all day today and we might get some snow tomorrow. Based on your weather, I'd say it's all systems "go"!

Ours was moving to the northwest, and it warmed a little afterwards. Your forecast calls for snow, but it's also supposed to get almost to 40°. Good luck, I guess.

I was wrong about it being since January. It's the beginning of March, probably the second.
