Did a Scotch tasting last night. Several people weren't able to make it, so the group was a little smaller than usual. Six whiskies - Old Pulteney 12, Johnnie Walker Blue, The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve, Black Grouse, Talisker 25, Bowmore 18, Ardbeg Galileo. Good stuff, for the most part. I wouldn't say I overindulged, except maybe the food. I had a beef brisket sandwich (that went well with the Bowmore), pickled herring (that went OK with the Pulteney), quiche, artichoke and something something, cheese, chocolate, cookies... I'm not hungry for breakfast today.
We have named our group "Drammit" - a wee dram being the amount of Scotch one drinks. I gave Mike (the host) a wooden sign that reads, "Welcome to the Schmidthaus, home of Drammit".
