Cyn and I went to see Bob Dylan last night. If you've seen him in the last decade or so, you know what it was like, more or less. If you haven't, you probably don't care. Mark Knopfler opened for him, and was excellent. If you've heard him in the last decade or so, you know what it was like, more or less. If you haven't, you probably don't care.

My brain has been pretty foggy this week. I forgot the tickets, and we had to drive home to get them. Two trips into the city last night. Yay. And we missed the first few songs of Knopfler's set. I left my wallet on the center console of the car, during the show. It was still there when we got back. I've been having trouble understanding things at work. And I've been extra cranky.

I've also been pretty exhausted lately. Not sure if the two are related. Last week was worse than this week, though my throat has been scratchy, so I think I am (or was) coming down with something. I might be feeling better today than yesterday.

Last friday we went to see Ian Anderson (of Jethro Tull) in Chicago, where we met Lynda and Mike. It's always good to see them, and the show was great.

It's friday again, what happened in the meantime? I forget.

It's nice that you got to the shows. Sorry about the double-drive, though. I hope you get some good sleep this weekend & things snap back to "just fine." As I get older, the time change does mess w/things.

Thanks. We'll see.

Time change?

Well, whatever. you will figure it out.

I have the new Dylan CD and...well...I don't really like it much.

Mark Knopfler and Dylan together though...wow!

I doubt it's the time change. I gained an hour last weekend, and I'm feeling better this week (except for the possible illness), than I was last week.

I like most of the album. There are a couple of songs I prefer to skip.

Knopfler was great!

My doctor is always big on checking my thyroid and Vitamin D levels. Have you had yours checked lately?

I don't remember if they checked that last time.

Hmmm... I have those exact same symptoms a week before my period.....Except for the scratchy throat so nevermind!

He's PMSing! It all makes sense now. I'd better feed him chocolate for dinner.

You just sound really worn out.
Manolo and I are jealous of the concerts you've been to.

I've been sleeping a little better in the last week or so, so maybe that's why I'm not as tired this week.

Vinnie, PLEASE go to the doctor for a gen check up. What you are describing is very general, but can be symptoms of some serious conditions... as well as some mild ones.

*FEEL BETTER*

Oh, and though I have never been a concert person (don't like crowds, public toilets and parking issues) Those are two of my FAVS.

I'll be going to the doctor for an exam within the next few months. But I met with him a couple of weeks ago, and discussed some of this.

I'll get a real review up soon. :-)

Are you getting enough Vitamin B-12? How is your thyroid function?

I haven't seen Dylan in the last decade or so but I do care. Unless "or so" means "or 3-4 decades ago." Wait, could it have been that long? Maybe I've seen him since. I forget.

I know there are people who haven't seen him but might want to. He sounds rather odd, these days. He doesn't really sing anymore.

I'm going to see Burton Cummings in December. I haven't been to a concert in a couple of years, and am really looking forward to it. Apparently, he tells people to take all the pictures, and videos that they want, and throws in stories of when he was lead singer with the 'guess who', and when he went solo.

Cool. At the Dylan show, they told us as we were walking in, that no photography was allowed. They were even telling people with cell phones not to take any. At Ian Anderson last friday, they told us expressly, that photography was allowed, but audio and video recording was not. The show before that, Rasputina, I think they said taping was allowed.

Apparently Burton finds it flattering that people want to take pictures and video of him. He's made some comments about retiring or, no longer being valid the day people don't want to take pictures and video of him. He really connects with his fans. It's neat.
