I learned a little about the history of Port Washington, tonight. According to its Chamber of Commerce, In 1870 the city saw major improvements in transportation. Not only was the railroad approved to extend through Ozaukee County, the harbor was substantially improved. The dredging that occurred resulted in the first man-made harbor in North America.

Nope. Just that. It makes me want to call the city and ask for the records.

The marker is in good shape, beyond a fresh coat of paint, but all the graves around it were 80 to 120 years old.
