Semi-busy weekend

Friday night, Cyn and I went out to eat and then went CD shopping.

I got a Hoodoo Gurus Single for a buck (it's okay), Stoned Immaculate, the Doors tribute album (cool), Tool's latest (excellent), REM's latest (I'll have to give it a good listen, but so far it doesn't seem very exciting), and an Os Mutantes record (a Brazilian psychedelic band from the late sixties - okay).

Then we visited my friend Steve. His girlfriend just broke up with him last weekend, so he needs the company.

On Saturday, I helped some friends move. Still sore.

Then Cyn and I went to a friend's party. Cyn got to meet some more of my friends.

Today, we didn't do much. She helped me clean my sun porch and back hall. It took a while, but we didn't exactly kill ourselves doing it. It sure is nice to have that floor back.

Now I am going to bed. I'm tired.

every time i buy an REM CD, I ask myself "why". I'll listen to it a couple of times and then put it on the shelf. Then I'll put it on a few weeks or months later and WOW! that song is awesome! they are subtle to the point of appearing repetetive.

I really like every record up until... crap, what was it called? Adventures in Hi-fi? I never did listen to Up enough to give it a fair chance. I'll have to dig it out again.

we didn't do much
No, not really. Just breaking down boxes, hauling out trash, crushing 3 bagfuls of cans, moving a heavy table from the garage, vacuuming every nook and crannie. Piece of cake! That was just my part, you did everything else. Maybe it didn't seem like much because the work was divided between us.

Thanks for crushing those cans. I don't think my back could have managed it, crouched over in that doorway.
