Sunday in the city...


This is Cafe Orlin where we had breakfast both days.



It was a beautiful morning for a walk, and we had time to kill before we had to check out of our room.

This was our hotel. Well, the entry, anyway.


And we had time to kill at the airport too.

Then we came home.

Oh wow, you actually stayed at the St. Mark's? How was it?

I pass it all the time, but I don't think I know anyone who's actually stayed there.

It was small. The bedroom was about 10 by 14, maybe. I could barely get the bathroom door closed, without having to step into the shower. All the remodeling is newish, within the last few years, so it was pretty clean. The light over the bed didn't work, nor the remote for the TV. They didn't give us hand soap or plastic cups the first night. The bed was hard as a rock, and too close to the A/C.

But for $140 a night, in Manhattan, I'm not complaining.

You should like it... comfortable, free breakfasts, nice original artwork, lots of famous people have stayed there... and not especially expensive.
