day 10 part 2, Grand Canyon part 2

I was done with Coral Pink Sand Dunes by noon or so, so off I went to the Grand Canyon again. The dunes were sunny and warm. The North rim was much like it had been the day before.

from Cape Royal. This is the Colorado River. The road down to Cape Royal is the only place in the North Rim that you can see the River. I was interested to learn that there are a lot of rich archaeological sites down there.




Just for fun, a piece of their snow removal equipment.

We went to a ranger talk about the archaeological digs in the Canyon.
Very interesting...and there was a special exhibit about the Native American participants in the digs at the Kolb Studio in the park.
