I can't really come up with much more to say than Cyn did, so I'll just give you some links.

She wrote thse while we were at camp, and entered them yesterday.
part 1
part 2
part 3
part 4
part 5
part 6
(Part 1 is the longest. The rest are pretty short.)

On Sunday night the two of us went down to the parking lot to see the stars. When others joined us, we pointed out all the constellations to them. The Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, the Box, the Line, the Triangle and the Point. Later on, when I mentioned that to someone, she asked if I saw that one star. "You know, that one? The one by those other stars?" I said, "yeah, the one that twinkles, right?" "Yeah, that one! That was so cool!"

We had a 15' x 22' tarp over the campfire (yes, it was rather high). It was made of two smaller ones, tied together, so when it started pouring, the water collected on top, and periodically emptied onto the ground and our fire and us. It took us a good ten or fifteen minutes to fix that little problem. Yesterday Jim and I went over some ideas to improve it for next year. After a little while, when I was suggesting plans, he just started laughing at me. We both get carried away sometimes though. :-)

Some people wonder why I spend so much time cooking, when I camp. They think it is too much work. For one thing, it is not really all that much work. But mostly I cook because I don't have much opportunity to cook otherwise. Besides, good food makes a good trip. Good food can actually offset bad weather.

After everyone else had left, I took Cyn and my picture on top of a huge boulder that was lying in the woods behind the outhouse. It was probably fifteen feet high. Because of the trees, I couldn't get far enough back to get the whole thing in. Which was fine, since I barely had time to climb up on the thing after I hit the timer. I've gotta find a remote for my camera.

I'll see if I can come up with any more rememberies.
