On May 19, on my way out to South Coyote Buttes, I stopped at an old ranch at Poverty Flat.

Definitely the soul of the desert. It's dry, foreboding, but it preserves what it captures. That first shot is perfect for a B&W.

lol. We used to find those occasionally out looking for properties up north. I called them "a perfect starter place, a real burner-downer." (as opposed to a fixer-upper...)
