weekend update

Friday night we went to see a band in the park. We met Dennis and Pat there, and had some wine. The weather has been just perfect lately.

Saturday, I did some gardening, and then did a Scotch tasting. Had Tomatin 12, The Singleton, Johnnie Walker Swing, Glenrothes 1994, Longmorn 16, Macallan Cask Strength, Ardbeg 10 and Pig's Nose. The Singleton was not great, Glenrothes and Macallan were good, Longmorn and Swing were excellent. The others, I had had before.

Sunday, we went out to my dad's, kinda for his birthday. Did a bit of a cookout. Relaxed a lot, had a little Scotch (Black Grouse, and dad gave me a miniature of Te Bheag).

A fat luna moth caterpillar dropped out of the birch tree, and onto my sister. Freaked her out pretty good.

You were in my dream last night, with Cynnerth and some other friends. Unfortunately i didn't write down what i remembered of it when i woke up this morning, so most of it is now long gone. I do remember that a bunch of people were visiting me (not in this house) and i had just joined everyone for a group photo shoot (much as i hate being in pictures) but opted out to help you in the kitchen where you were in desperate need of caffeine. You complained about having just been to a $50 per plate restaurant meal but no coffee or tea had been served. Somehow my coffee maker didn't work - something about sudden faulty electrical wiring! I was telling you that i could walk to a nearby coffee place and be back within 15 minutes with a cup of coffee, when i think i woke up. Weird, huh?

I understand that as a "guy", and especially as a "brother", you're duty bound to be amused by the caterpillar dropping on your sister. However--
I'm with your sister!

I don't want ANY creature jumping on me without an invitation--not a worm or a bird--not a dog or a cat--not a lamb or a rabbit. Certainly not that cow that stepped on me once! Tho I'm pretty open to young children and people I love.
