Why is it that the republican leadership says it wants to take less of our money and regulate us less, but they want to take away our constitutional rights (except regarding guns).

Exactly. Less government, less government! they cry. And then they put their laws all over us. Right now I feel real sorry for those chronically ill Californians who got relief for their pain by means of prescriptions for marijuana. What do they do now? Return to their otherwise unmanagable pain? Or go underground and continue to use marijuana but feel like criminals for doing so? Argh. And that's just one example.
