Tonight: Snow. Low around 20. East wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Tuesday: Snow showers likely and areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, with a high near 24. Windy, with a northeast wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Snow and widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 19. Windy, with a northeast wind between 25 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches possible.

Wednesday: Periods of snow and widespread blowing snow before noon, then widespread blowing snow and a chance of snow after noon. High near 22. Windy, with a north wind between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around -1. Northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 18. Breezy, with a west wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.


So... six to ten inches of snow. That's a lot, but nothing we can't handle. Temps around 20°, but windy. Not happy about the wind. Very cold wednesday night. Then back to normal on thursday.

hey - are you gonna get hit by the thunder-snow? I'd never heard of it until tonight. I'm not too sure about that.. it's either dangerous, or it's like barking spiders...

I doubt it. It's pretty rare. I think I've only noticed it a handful of times.

It's only the meanest, nastiest, ugliest spiders that have lightning accompany their barks. ;-)

We've had it twice in the last couple of years. It's weird. (Thundersnow...not barking spiders)

I bet spiders bark pretty high and we wouldn't hear it.

No problem. Shouldn't be too bad. The wind is the worst part. But then I remember certain Alaskans and Kansans on my f/list, and I try not to complain about it too much.
