On Sunday, I went downtown to take some photos. It was nice to finally get around to doing that. And kinda fun running around.
This is the back of the top of the Telephone Company building above... a red building.

I've been nervous that they're going to want to just level all of the old buildings, but it looks like they haven't lost their heads yet.

Do you think the red bricks were more expensive? I think they probably had another building right next to it. Purely guessing.

They were probably more expensive. And probably less structurally-sound. The cream city bricks were plentiful and strong - utilitarian.
I'm curious about how the orange bricks got lighter near the top. I wonder if it was added later on.
