I don't think I've ever seen such an elaborately carved tombstone as Spencer Crash's. (the name makes me chuckle)
The bereft angel holding the wreath and the sleeping lion (looks a little drugged) are cool. Nice shots!

What I see is that the rose is an ephemeral thing of beauty that will fade (like life); and the pine, as an evergreen, represents everlasting life. That's how I think of those 2 things in art, particularly in a graveyard.
