I often have trouble with my photos, because I forget to check my settings. I'll be shooting for a while with the wrong white balance (sun or incandescent), or the wrong ISO or something. I'll forget to check *all* the settings, and the camera will stay on whatever I was shooting the night before. I'm getting better at this. I remember checking both the white balance and the ISO today.

Today I went to the Milwaukee Highland Games. I saw a sheep herding demo, caber tossing and some pipe and drum competition. My camera was set on an aperture of F20, from last weekend. In bright sun, I was shooting 1/50 shutter speed, though it was overcast for much of the day. That's so slow I should have been able to hear it. I didn't realize what I had done until I stopped in a cemetery on the way home. I was in light shade, and I heard a lag between shutter open and shutter close.

So here's the best I got. You can see the blurriness.

I've done that way too often to count (left settings on the camera from other times).
I like the dog picture, though.
:)
He/she is just waiting for the order to get out there and HERD!

My favorite breed of dog is the highland sheep dogs.
I always wanted to go to the Highland games but always forget.
Bagpipes give me goosebumps.

Was your dad in there?

No. His talents don't lie in the direction.
