I just got a new computer at work. It's running Windows 7, so it's taking me a while to learn where things are, and how to set it up to my liking.

It's not hearing the favorites button on my keyboard. They don't work as they were (unsurprising), but I can't set them up anew. I searched for instructions and got

1. Open the Microsoft Keyboard application. Select "All Programs" from the "Start" menu, then select "Microsoft Keyboard" from the "Microsoft Keyboard" menu item.

No such thing exists. There is no "Microsoft Keyboard" entry on my "all programs" menu. I can get a properties menu for it, showing that it has the most recent driver, but that's it. No actual application.

Other than that, it's going okay. I had a lot of trouble finding the startup folder, but they have things set up so that I don't need it. I'm just trying to find a way to start up one of my programs with minimal hassle. For some reason, it doesn't like being pinned to the task bar. I may have to leave it in the recent programs section of the start menu. EDIT: It doesn't stay there either.

God Mode is really cool.

I've asked Microsoft for more details on the feature and how it came to be. But so far, Redmond is silent on the topic.

Ha ha!

I don't think I'll do that on my computer at work. :-)

Mainly because the article mentions a possibility of crashing.

The keyboard, on the control panel? That's where I got the properties.

Well, that's a pain in the ass (the program that won't stay in the start menu or taskbar, as well as the keyboard).

I'd suggest looking in Accessories for the keyboard properties, but the best thing would probably be to look for the answer by searching on Google.
