Five thousand posts. That's a lot of attempts at humor, and a lot of photo posts. And a few thoughtful ones. And also a lot of private ones. That's just over nine years of posts.

I just checked the stats of many of my friends who have been around since the beginning, and they all seem to have either the same amount as me, half as many, or twice as many.

I wonder how many posts I've read.

Hmmm, I'm on the far low end. 1,157. On the other hand almost every post is public.

On the other hand I've been extremely consistent, posting about the same amount every week for 7.5 years.

I make private posts, like "notes to self" kinds of things. Also, I used to use LJ posts to communicate with people, using one-person filters, back before the LJ Message thing. It was fun.

I'm not that consistent, either. I go through periods of little or much posting.
