I don't think I posted these pictures from the state fair, last august.


Here is an example of a cute little goat.

...is one that's not cute.

See the difference? Big eyes tend to make people and animals cute. And ears? Yeah, they need ears too.

Funny how people seem to enjoy breeding ugly animals.

The second photo makes me think the goat needs a red addidas track suit or something... maybe it's the chain- maybe it's the meds I'm on ;)

It has ears, in that it can hear. It just doesn't have those big flaps of skin that normal mammals have cupped around their earholes.

The second goat might not have the most appealing face, but judging by the muscle tone I can see even in this picture, I'm thinking the breed might be intended primarily for meat.

If so, it's easier to harvest meat from a hideous mutant than from "Cute-o the adorable."
