Some bishop or other...

Behind bars in this chapel.

Our trusty guide, Donna.

A patio that had been closed off for many years.

The waiting room outside the assembly hall (or whatever they called it). We sat here and had a snack.

Remember this image? I've decided the guy on the horse is less than life sized.

Here's more of the gate.

The lower part of the gate. This is the Royal Chapel, or the Chapel of Perpetual Prayer. We couldn't see in, and there were sign asking us to be quiet, since nuns from the convent across the street come here to pray, and they do it all the time. Almost all the time, anyway. There was a wedding in this chapel when we happened by on friday night.

This was across from the Royal Chapel, and at the back of the main altar.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my photos. This the last of... the inside of the Cathedral. Next I'll post the tower. After that, I might do pics from sunday, and then I'll be caught up for the first three days of the trip!

Geesh. You'd think he'd take his hat off before he sleeps.

Darn laundry starched my sleeping cap again!

Nice night gown, though.

You know those crazy bishops. Gotta wear their mitres even to bed.

He asked for more pillows because the first one wasn't soft enough.

Hehehehe...and then they gave him three rock hard pillows.

I'm trying to remember that bishop's name but it's not happening. He was a famous guy, though. You know he was important just because of the tomb and where he's buried. See the bricked over doors in that patio? I always wonder what's behind them.

ok, i really love the patio shot, both for the guy busting you taking his picture, and the surreal warmth of the room behind the doorway.

I was busted *so* many times for trying to take people's pictures - especially when I was specifically trying to get them.
