autumn has returned

Earlier this week, the temperature got up to 84°. Today, it might break 60. We have a picnic to go to, of course.

In June, we had several days in the eighties. In July, we did not. The high temperature for the summer was 90.1°, according to a nearby weather station.

This isn't normal, and I'm not happy. From October to May, I wait to be warm again, and...

I made the mistake of leaving all of the windows open and a fan blowing last night.
I had to goose the furnace a little this morning.

But me? I was ecstatic it was so cool. I HATE hot weather and we have enough of that the months we're here. I hope we don't have an extra cool October for you this year.
