Here's a statement I saw tonight, about the proposed health care plan:

While its great to get rid of all these preexisting conditions, only a fool would assume a spike in health care costs will not follow.

The person was telling us that the plan is bad because (among other reasons) it's going to be much more expensive, despite the president's assurances otherwise. You know what? If people are going untreated for their illnesses simply because they change insurance plans, and raising the cost of health care for everyone is the result of getting these people treated, then I say treat the preexisting conditions!

Something very good

I know that you will appreciate this! A friend had it posted, and I think that Hilltop also knows about it...

translation: if we actually give people health care to treat their illnesses we will have to spend money :(

In fact, of course, these people get treated anyway through ERs and stuff in very over-expensive ways, so we are already paying for it, and more than would be necessary with an intelligent plan.
