We took a picture of ourselves on our anniversary, the other night. To compare with our wedding picture.





I'm still sick. Not as bad as I usually feel when I'm sick, but given the way my throat feels, I think I'd better see a doctor.

The weather is great. It's around 60 and sunny. I've got yard work I need to do. And I'd like to go out with my camera. A friend is having his bachelor party today, so I'm missing that. I even bought margarita fixins.

If you're sick, don't overdo it in the yard. It's easy to worsen your illness if you take the energy your body would otherwise use for fighting the infection and labor with it instead. Resting allows your body to best use its resources in its own defense.

And yes, if you think you need to see your physician, you probably do -- especially if what you have tests out as a streptococcal infection: untreated strep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strep_throat#Complications) can sometimes go from a sore throat to a life-threatening systemic infection in a matter of hours, as it did with my younger son.

You both look great in both pictures. I'm glad you found each other. Happy Anniversary!

No worries. That last paragraph is just my complaint about the things I should be doing.

I don't feel sick enough to go to the doctor, but the fact that it could be an infection is urging me to do so.

Yep, still very happy. Probably moreso, now that we're settled in.
