Someone posted a picture of L. Frank Baum's grave. It reminded me of how few famous people I share birthdays with. He's one. For many years, I'd watch the date, to see what celebrities I could add to the list. Never really found any. I hadn't looked in many years, so I checked Wikipedia. There was quite a long list there, and few that I'd heard of. So who'd I find? Pierre Curie, James Mason, Richard Avedon, Jasper Johns, Wavy Gravy, Ralph Steadman, Brian Eno and Mike Oldfield. I only know what a couple of those people even look like.

I share mine with the 'Official' birthday of Queen Elizabeth.

And Charles Haid, and Stacy Keach. And Thomas Hardy.

You share your day with a lot of artistic people!

The Queen. That's a pretty well-known and important person. :-)

BUT. Her birthday isn't really June 2. It's April 21st.

I wasn't aware she had an "official" birthday.

I guess it's easier for her subjects to celebrate on June 2. It's good to be Queen...

I don't know who Ralph Steadman is, and I feel like I should know Mike Oldfield, but I don't. Wavy Gravy is familiar, but I think it's awash in a 60s haze.

Ralph Steadman is a British cartoonist and caricaturist who is perhaps best known for his work with American author Hunter S. Thompson.

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

Wavy Gravy - awash in a 60s haze
