Recently, we played Apples to Apples. Greg was the judge with the word Funny. Amusing, comic, odd. I, Heather and Cindy submitted the following.

That was odd, all right.
I believe angry hornets got the nod, on this one. Angry hornets are funny, you know. They're just about the only insects you ever see in comic strips.

Date: 2009-03-14 05:42 pm (UTC)From:For example, the judge might present "cheesy." One player might have a card that says "pizza." Another would give his "The 1980's" card. Someone else would play "Horror movies," while the fourth would throw in his "killer whales" card, since he doesn't have one that remotely matches "cheesy" and he wants to get rid of it. The judge, being a fan of bad horror movies, awards the point to "horror movies."
In our case, it was a strange coincidence, that not only did nobody have a card that matched "funny," all three cards were violent. Of course we knew that Greg likes awarding his points to the most absurd ones, so there was hope anyway.
