Milwaukee got hit with some lake-effect snow - but only parts of the city. A guy I work with said he got six inches of snow. Another guy said he got a dusting. Those two live about four miles apart. The airport got over fourteen inches, breaking the old record of nine. It was very strange how some areas got hit hard, and others didn't get any at all. There was a sharp dividing line. Fortunately, it was fairly fluffy stuff.

My sister, Joyce, called during the day and asked if I could see over the snow. Since the most I'd seen were just a few stray flakes, I was surprised. Then she told me she'd heard, on the weather channel, about Milwaukee's airport.

The weathermen at six were showing how the storm came sraight down Lake Michigan and then hit the very little corner of Wisconsin before it went into Indiana. It did seem like a weird storm.

I loved yesterday! I didn't know it was going to snow and only found out when I opened the front door to leave for work. HUGE flakes! It snowed all day long like that. Since I'm right by the lake we really had a lot.

Over here in Menomonee Falls, we had sunshine.
Lake effect is really interesting.
