At first it was shaping up to be a snowy winter, but we haven't had a good snow since the sunday before christmas. It snowed a little bit sometimes after that, but the wind blew it all away. Then it rained. We'd had a foot and a half on the ground, and now most of it is gone. We had freezing rain last weekend. That wasn't too pleasant. Our driveway is still mostly ice. I need to do something about that.
There's still snow, so there's a lot of whiteness, but that's because the rain turned it all to ice. I hope this isn't one of those winters that remains well below freezing for the next three months, while the snow on the ground evaporates, leaving nothing but brownness until mid-April.

Date: 2009-01-07 03:03 am (UTC)From:I prefer spring over fall. But late spring and early fall are the best, and early spring and late fall are the worst. I like summer - as long as it's hot! :-)
