I just took a little nap. I awoke rather suddenly. I couldn't quite remember what I had been dreaming about, but there was music playing. It didn't seem to be happening in connection with what was happening in the dream. It was more like a soundtrack. Or maybe it was just what happens in my head when my brain is idling.

That sounds like a weird version of being vaccinated with a photograph needle....

Maybe your brain was doing its usual brainy job of organizing, putting things in order, remembering, filing... and "humming to itself" as it ran across words that reminded it of a song.

Mine does it all the time.

Humming to itself, sure, but it wasn't that sort of music. This stuff was fabricated whole-cloth and doesn't really match any sort of real music I've heard. I guess it was only sort-of music. Maybe my brain was taking the sounds it heard from the house, and translating that into some alien form of music.

Um... when I remember my dreams.. they all have a soundtrack.. that I am "writing" in the dream, along with the dream.. and no.. I don't play music in my house when I am sleeping.

Maybe you should be concerned about that... *grin*
