I had to go back to skip=80 on my friends page to catch up. I went out to eat for lunch, and missed LJ. Last night, when I got home from the concert, I couldn't get onto LJ. At lunch yesterday, someone's flash thingy was crashing aIyEe, so I hadn't seen LJ in two days.

I was hoping that this week would be a little less crazy at work. It was only a little less crazy. I've been very stressed out lately. It's mostly a combination of difficult deadlines at work and too little sleep, but there's got to be more to it. Politics are pissing me off, but I'm not sure if that's cause or effect. Cindy being out of work has been suggested as a stressor, but I'm not sure.

My computer is probably a stressor. I'm on it all the time, and mowing the lawn every week or two seems to be the only productive work I get done.

I guess we'll not have to worry about mowing in short order. Then it will just be shoveling snow. But that's months away (yay!).

Tea helps with the stress.

So you're saying I will no longer accomplish anything productive? ;-)

Tea helps with the stress.

How? Why?

Nah. Just, considering what our place looks like, I think we're fine in the upcoming winter without mowing again. Although that means more raking for me.

"Tea helps with the stress."
I hear that some tea is nice for stress. Some chamomile. Light on the green tea. Hibiscus tea is supposed to be good, also. I hear that it does good things for your system and doesn't add caffeine and such.

It would probably be better for my stress if I liked it. ;-)

Spitting in the wind....

We're all complaining of it here...I think getting up in the dark is a huge problem. We are feeling a need to hibernate.

Maybe you need to jump-start yourself, get outside and be productive.

Got any wood to chop?

getting up in the dark

Fortunately, I don't have that problem. I got up a little early yesterday morning (after a late night), and it was light out. But then your dark evenings are shorter than mine. Cindy and I got out for a walk yesterday, but we had to hurry because it's getting dark so early.

No, no wood to chop, but I keep meaning to call to have the chimney cleaned. I guess that doesn't really count...

Your idea worked. I got a jump start. Cindy went out to clean the garage, and I followed. We got it cleaned up pretty well, and I brought the hoses in for the winter. Hmm, doesn't sound like much...

Not much, maybe, but just DOING is good for us.

I've been hemming orchestra dresses most of the afternoon. It's tedious, but also feels good to accomplish them.

I recently read an article about how using one's hands is good for health and spirit. I'll have to dig it up; it made a lot of sense.
