what's up with me

It was a difficult week at work, and I'm glad it's over. I'd feel better about it if I knew next week would be better. One day, I noticed that my knee was hurting. No idea why, it just felt bruised, and hurt to bend. I had to do a lot of walking at work, and going up and down the stairs a lot. It was finally hurting less yesterday, and today it's not as bad. I started out the week with insomnia. I was finally able to get a full night of sleep, but didn't seem to be enough to catch up. I suppose that made me irritable, which made everything seem worse.

The guys were playing Magic last night, but I had forgotten that we were having friends over, so I couldn't join them. By the time I realized I was double-booked, it was too late to reschedule the game. I was really looking forward to playing that format. We've started my Shadowrun campaign. It's a nicely detailed world, but I haven't come up with any decent story arcs yet.

Last weekend, I had wanted to go to the Highland games, but my mom scheduled us for a picnic with some old friends. I really wasn't looking forward to it, but it was a good time. It turned out that my dad's clan was the honored clan at the games, and he got the honor of announcing the clan.

Manolo's knee has been acting up, too. He has an old football (soccer) injury that never healed right and we suspect there's arthritis now. Has it been humid?

Very humid. But I don't think I've had trouble with it before this.

Mechanical design. I'm usually sitting at a computer. This week, though, I've been building things. It wasn't fun doing all that walking, and going up and down the stairs. Nor was it fun stuck at my desk doing things when I really need to be building things.
