low_delta: (I don't get it)
We took a drive around, tonight, to gawk at the river.

See Cyn standing there by the water slides? See those trees behind her, at the edge of the water? They aren't normally near the water.

This picnic table is probably closer to the shore than it is when the water is at its normal level.

That top picture is so poetic and, well, pretty.

Thanks!

Well, it looks lovely in your pictures, but of course it's not! I sure hope all this crazy rain stops for a while.

Fortunately, there's not much damage here in Grafton and Cedarburg, but upriver and down from here, there is.

I guess that southern Indiana, and of course Iowa, are a terrible mess.

I know there's flooding in Indiana, but I haven't heard much about anything but Wisconsin and the worst of Iowa. We're supposed to be going to Southeastern Indiana next weekend. I hope it's going to be there.

I'm not sure where you are headed but maybe you should be in contact first?

If they don't get any more rain this week, everything should be fine. But they probably will...

The weather channel site says that there are five days of sun predicted. The other days are scattered thunder storms. It's Indiana, so that could change but it does not look too bad right now...

That big tree in the river is really indicative.
Pretty picture, though.

Thanks.
That tree is right on the shore, but the lens makes it look a little closer to the swings than it is. I didn't realize that part of the park is as low as it is - or maybe it's not!

I agree with everybody else. The first one is gorgeous.

Wow, that's some high water.

If I were little, I would love a swing in the water.

I wanted Cyn to get a picture of me on one of those slides, but there was a family there with little kids. I didn't want to hear "how come he can go on the slides but I can't?"

The only problem with doing that would be that it's FLOOD water now and not safe at this point. I was around for some of the floods in Pennsylvania, and of course the one at the cottage this past winter. People in the cottage area are still having trouble getting cleaned up and sanitized from that water. I hope that they don't have more now!
