I don't know why that's "neat", but it is... unmistakably neat!!

Has the jewelry shop been there for a while?

I don't remember. More than ten years? It was a Texaco station when I was a kid.

The Sultana explosion? Danica Patrick's first win?

Oh, it must be the one about Wadham's Oil and Grease Company of Milwaukee.

Yes. And I took the picture too. The place is about three miles from our house. And it's where we buy our jewelery.

I've toured around the different links, and am amazed that I do not remember ANY weird gas station buildings from my youth. The most outrageous thing was the brontosaurus on the sign for the Sinclair station.

The pagodas and these two are making me think the Mohawk Valley (NY) was pretty boring place to grow up; Wisconsin folks knew how to have fun!

While this sort of thing isn't exactly common, you can find it. Did I tell you friends of a friend of mine got married in the mouth of a giant muskie?

The closest I can think of is the one on Dennis Tito the space tourist. I have not a clue, unless you're a historian and have researched the history of the Grimladi family and Monaco...

Thanks! Unfortunately, the item rotated off the Main Page by the time you saw it (I believe). It was featured in the Did You Know? section (with my photo).
