I've toured around the different links, and am amazed that I do not remember ANY weird gas station buildings from my youth. The most outrageous thing was the brontosaurus on the sign for the Sinclair station.
The pagodas and these two are making me think the Mohawk Valley (NY) was pretty boring place to grow up; Wisconsin folks knew how to have fun!
The closest I can think of is the one on Dennis Tito the space tourist. I have not a clue, unless you're a historian and have researched the history of the Grimladi family and Monaco...
