low_delta: (I can't explain)
The current Web page is trying to open a site in your Trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?

Yes/No

Warning: allowing this can expose your computer to security risks. If you don't trust the current Web page, choose No.

What's this all about? Why would it ask such a question? Why would it think there's something wrong with a site on my Trusted list (whatever that is)? Why would it ask this question of sites on my Trusted list and not sites that aren't on it?

MicroSoft... it's their firewall protecting you. You can't open trusted sites w/o warnings, but virus infected emails - sure!

Good thing they don't make condoms.

I think that the reason is that "trusted" sites get laxer security precautions - they can do stuff that might be a security risk but it's OK because you "trust" them. If a page on an untrusted site tried to open a page on a trusted site, the reason might be to do something it shouldn't be allowed to do (but I don't know what).

Next question: how does it know what sites are trusted, and what sites aren't?
